It is so nice to enjoy the country in the whole territory, for all the people that delight traveling on roads, knowing totally new landscapes, local food, good hospitality from the people and the folklore of Colombians in each region, mixing the traveling and racing with adrenaline, it is a real pleasure, now that we have the certainty of safety car traveling, thanks to the Security Democracy of our President Alvaro Uribe Vélez Policy, with the Military Forces of Colombia, that are giving our Rally the support on security and logistics.

In 2005 had start this Championship of Rally Raid “ Rueda Libre por Colombia” with 3 races. The first one was Orinoquia 1000, starting in Bogotá, and going all the way trough the “Llanos Orientales” eastern flat ranges of Colombia, and spectacular adventure, with the presence of 56 vehicles an 17 endurance bikes and after racing over 1000 kilometers in two stages the competition arrived to Puerto Carreno at the Orinoco River . The second Race was called TATACOA 500, and it took place at the Huila Department, having a beautiful trip all over the TATACOA dessert and the OPITA region and the third one, was the GUAJIRA 800, the beautiful dessert of LA GUAJIRA at the Caribbean Sea and hospitality of the Wayuu native´s tribes, and the calendar of that year had 120 people racing and traveling.

The rules include the using of the latest Technology for orientation, with GPS and Navigation Rules Book, so part of the adventure it is to never get lost following the indications plus understanding the Off Road experience of keeping the right track by watching out for the tire paths, and the combination of maps, GPS and Routes Book.

In 2006 the Calendar had the same three races of 2005, TATACOA, GUAJIRA & ORINOQUIA increasing the number of competitors to 180 for that year, and the latest calendar in 2007 with 6 races, that Started with TOLIMA 500, then ORINOQUIA 1000, SANTANDER 600, BOYACA 500, GUAJIRA 800 and VALLE 600, having at the Championship 115 cars, 78 ATVs and 46 Bikes racing for more than 3000 kilometers of beautiful landscapes and having the great satisfaction of knowing the most beautiful places of Colombia.

TRAVELING CATEGORY:

What ever you want to use for traveling you can use Bike, ATV or 4x4 Car, to follow and enjoy the Rally, and if you don´t have a vehicle in Colombia, you can rent it with local rentals any kind of vehicle, by contacting us to take part on the Adventure.

RACING CATHEGORY:

There are 4 different Categories in Bikes, ATVs or Cars and all that you must follow is the rules book where it explains in details, by consulting this web page on the rules icon, reading all what you must do, and the opportunity of choosing the best way to be part of the Adventure.
